Wife / Best Friend gone...

Let's start by clarifying...

My wife IS my best friend. I have only lost her for 4 - 6 months. It sucks all the same though.

I recently got out of the Air Force, and my wife is still in. She was lucky enough to get deployed to go help defend our county. This will require her to hang out in the desert for 4 - 6 months, and enjoy all that tent-life has to offer.

I consider myself to be a VERY luck guy, since I manage to marry someone who is both beautiful, smart, and funny, but is also my best friend. The only problem arises now that I've been forced to pass my time without her. I get home each day, and not even our two great dogs can manage to pick my spirits up...

Normally our days would be pretty much the same... After work, we would log into DAoC or some other game and pass the time slaying evil creatures throughout the ancient lands of Albion. Sometimes we would watch a DVD, or take the dogs for walks. Either way, we were never at a loss for things to do.

The result of my newly found boredom is creating this blog. I'm normally a pretty opinionated person, so I shouldn't have a problem finding things to bore you all with.

Just would like to extend my appreciation for both your wife's service to our country and for your having to sacrifice your time with her. Thanks to your family. Hope the blogging serves as a distraction for you while she is away.
