So, yesterday was spiritual, but today was techy.  We started the day at a place called Joypolis... which is basically an indoor theme part with lots of tech things.  The best ride was definitely the "Tokyo Halfpipe", which was where you got on a giant "skateboard" with a partner, strap in, and it rocks back and forth.  You have to time leaning the skateboard correctly to go higher and higher and eventually start it spinning.  We did that twice, back-to-back, and had the overall 2nd highest score when we left.  We rode a little rollercoaster as well, but it wasn't that great, and nothing else was really worth mentioning there.

On our way there, we saw some pretty cool things too.  We saw a life-sized Unicorn Gundam.  It was really freaking cool!  We also saw a "sister" to our Statue of Liberty.  You can Google the details, but basically France gave them a smaller version at some point... it also has a Morton's toe

Tokyo is large enough that it has several different "down towns", each with a different theme/feel.  We visited several of these today.  One of them was all about Anime type things, and my daughter, and the friend she met on the trip were in heaven!  I tried some Pachinko machines, but didn't know what I was doing.  The guy next to me gave me a basic explaination on what I was supposed to do.  I think he offered to help because the lady's voice for my machine was definitely saying, "You're doing it wrong!" over and over again as I was trying to figure it out.  When I finally gave up and went to cash out, I found out that gambling in Japan isn't actually legal... you can basically just turn your winnings in for snacks and such... super strange.  Later I found out that if you win enough "money", you can instead turn your credits in for a little gold coin that another nearby store just happens to be willing to buy for a lot of money

We also went to a newly opened Nintendo store, right next to a Capcon store.  I bought an awesome Super Mario (formally Jump Man) hat, and a Hyrule bar towel for my bar

I don't know you've heard, but Tokyo is a REALLY large city!  It was nuts how many people were in these downtown areas... and the crowds at the Nintendo store were crazy!

While I have been walking a ton lately with my wife, the amount of walking we've been doing these couple days basically screwed my toes up   I have a toe that basically overlaps another of my toes.  If I take long walks, they'll rub against each other, and get crazy bad blisters and such.  I have a little rubbery toe separator thingy that normally takes car of this.  I've walked so much now though that I kinda crushed it.  After some fun translation issues, I was able to find a more robust one at a pharmacy though, so let's hope it holds up.

As expected, I'm super tired now... so, off to bed I go.  Good night!
